Environment Clean Up

KIBERA CLEAN-UP EXERCISE: In partnership with KleanBera, Nairobi Hub conducted a street clean-up exercise in Kibera slums with the objective of promoting better living conditions at the slum while promoting peace following violence experienced during the 2017 general election. Kibera Slum is the biggest slum in Africa.

Following the Clean-up exercise, Nairobi Hub held a #ShaperTalks session at SHOFCO (The Kibera School for Girls) for a mentorship session with the students. SHOFCO was established by Kenyan Young Global Leader (YGL) Kennedy Odede.

The Global Shapers Community is a global network of over 400 city-based hubs including Nairobi Hub, Kisumu Hub and the first Hub located in a refugee camp, Kakuma Hub, all located in Kenya
